Neurotransmitters

Neurotransmitters are chemical molecules that “ferry” vortex impulses across the synapse from one neuron to the next. Each type of neurotransmitter has a specific molecular form that acts like a "key into a lock".

If its shape fits in the next neuron, it will produce an effect on that neuron. There are two types of Neurotransmitters:

  1. The ones that increase the chances of passing on the vortex impulse are the excitatory neurotransmitters.
  2. The ones that reduce the likelihood of passing on the vortex impulse are named inhibitory neurotransmitters.
