The Brain’s expression

The Brain\’s expression

The 3 skull-brain layers intermingle and communicate via an extensive two-way network of nerves, sometimes like a contentious committee. It links thinking with emotions.

The thinking part likes to think it is in the driver\’s seat, but the older brain parts exercise much more control over that seat than we are aware of.

Together they direct all voluntary action. This interplay of memory and emotion, thought and action is the foundation of an individual’s inward and outward expression.

  • Nearly every part of the body can send signals to the brain via the peripheral nervous system. They are carried from neural to neural station.
  • Chemical substances arising from bodily activities can reach the brain via the bloodstream and can influence its operation directly or indirectly.
  • The brain can act upon the body via the autonomic and the musculoskeletal nervous systems,
  • By manufacturing or ordering the fabrication of chemical substances to be released into the bloodstream, such as hormones, etc.
