To deliver in the Attention Economy is to deliver Attention efficiency. If managing Tivo consumes the same amount of Attention energy as the eliminated commercials then Tivo has done nothing to deliver Attention efficiency.
If Attention is a measure of value, then we need to know what effect your current businesses practices have on the Attention of your clients, management, and co-workers.
It appears that our perception, memory, information processing, performance, physiology and emotional well being are all influenced by and subordinate to Attention. Do you make use of the different ways of paying Attention?
Offering something of value for free may attract Energy thru Attention from others. If that something is appreciated, reputation (social capital) may be received in return.
That reputation currency can then be exchanged for cash currency. The saying “zero price, zero value” seems history.
