Pers. Development Score

Personal or Self Development Score (PDS or SDS)

A Score or Index is a composite measure expressed in a single number calculated from an array of independently weighted indicators.

An index often has its own calculation method and is often expressed as a change from a base value. Then, the % of change is more important than the actual numeric value.

Indexes also summarize and rank specific items.

Constructing the items involves 4 steps:

  1. item selection to be based on the degree of specificity in which a dimension is to be measured, and their variance, how far a set of numbers are spread out,
  2. items should be examined on their various empirical relationships,
  3. indices/scores are designed, which involves determining their score ranges and weights for each item,
  4. indices/scores should be validated, which involves testing whether they can predict indicators related to the measured variable not used in their construction.

Calculating the variance of 8 indicator numbers, using the Wellness Wheel:

Suppose these numbers consists of 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9,10.
The arithmetic mean also called the "average", is:
(2+3+4+5+7+8+9+10)÷8 = 6.

The variance of these 8 numbers is the squared deviation from this average, in order to eliminate the minus element.

These deviations are (2-6)=-4, (3–6)=–3, (4–6)=–2, (5-6)=-1, (7–6)=1, (8-6)=2, (9-6)=3, (10–6)=4.

Thus the variance of the 8 numbers is:

(-4)² + (-3)² + (-2)² + (-1)² + 1² + 2² + 3² + 4² = 7.5
                                    8

The Personal or Self Development Score (PDS or SDS) is a summary measure of achievements in the key dimensions of personal development, expressed in a single number.

These key dimensions, on the most fundamental level, are:
1. living a long, healthy, balanced life;
2. being knowledgeable;
3. gaining wisdom;
4. maintaining a pleasant living standard (LS).

  1. The health dimension is assessed by the source status of your DNA, RAS, and management of your Attention.
  2. The education dimension is measured by the number of years of constantly and methodically educating yourself about, who and what you are, and why you are here, essentially.
  3. The wisdom dimension is measured by the core quality and quantity of insights you received after experiences and practices performed.
  4. The LS dimension is measured by your basic (QLI) Quality of Life Index X monthly (DPI) Disposable Personal Income.

QLI (higher is better) is an estimation of overall quality of life by using an empirical formula which takes into account:

  • the purchasing power index (higher is better),
  • house price to income ratio (lower is better),
  • noise/soil-pollution index (lower is better),
  • air/water-pollution index (lower is better),
  • cost of living index (lower is better),
  • health care index (higher is better),
  • traffic time index (lower is better),
  • climate index (higher is better),
  • safety index (higher is better).

Current formula (Java program-language):

index.main = Math.max (0, 100 + PurchasingPowerInclRentIndex / 2.5 – HousePriceToIncomeRatio * 1.0 – Noise/soil-PollutionIndex * 2.0  – Air/water-PollutionIndex * 2.0 / 3.0 – CostOf LivingIndex / 5 + HealthIndex / 2.5 – TrafficTimeIndex / 2.0  + ClimateIndex / 2.0 + SafetyIndex / 2.0 );

How PPI= purchasing power (including rent) index, pollution index, property price to income ratios, COL= cost of living index, safety index, climate index, health index and traffic index are calculated, please look up their respective pages.

The PPI & COL indices are relative to New York City (NYC). There, each index is 100(%). A rent index of 120 elsewhere means average rents are 20% more than in NYC. A rent index of 70 means average rents are 30% less than in NYC.

These 4 key and fundamental dimensions are measured by a set of indicators, calculated from correct answers to questions about the various materials published on our website, which are:

1. Soul-sciences, Neuro-sciences II;
2. Neuro-sciences I, Particle-sciences, Celestial-sciences;
3. Trauma-sciences, Practices, About you;
4. Quality of Life and Income Indices.

The scores for the 4 PDS dimension indices are then aggregated into a single number composite index.

Improving your PDS improves your sense of core-self, balance, empowerment, equality, security, abundance, etc.
