The offensive act may always remain a part of your life, but forgiveness can lessen its grip on you. <br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Forgiveness doesn&#8217;t minimize or justify the wrong. You can forgive someone without excusing the act. Forgiveness brings a kind of peace that helps you go on with life. By embracing forgiveness, you embrace peace and joy.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">It is important to recognize that your current distress is coming from the hurt feelings, thoughts and physical upset you are suffering NOW, not what offended you 5 minutes or 5 years ago.
