They usually have an emotion attached. <br \/>\n    <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 102, 153);\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Consciously adopted beliefs<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"> are easily accessible to my conscious mind. I decided to adopt them because they make sense, feel satisfactory and\/or comfortable, and fit the framework of my existing beliefs and &quot;knowledge&quot;. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">They support that framework and form the point of view from which I operate my conscious decision making process. They appear &quot;rational&quot; because they support previously formed conclusions, facts, and support my deliberate decisions.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Intentionally created beliefs are part of #1 as well.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 102, 153);\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Unconsciously adopted beliefs<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"> are indoctrinated beliefs, often &quot;controlling&quot; beliefs, and those adopted in moments of trauma or deep emotion. They go in and &quot;stick&quot; because there is a pain emotion attached to them, like my mother screaming at me when I was small &quot;you can&#8217;t stand prosperity&quot;. Yeh, right. <br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">These beliefs operate decisions that have no basis in rational behavior because they are pain-based or were accepted blindly because some message has been repeated over and over again. They function at the level of post-hypnotic suggestion, and therefore I don&#8217;t really want them.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">My challenge has been to discover the unconsciously adopted beliefs and release them. Strangely enough, they are the ones that cause me to sin and err. Is &#8216;hellfire reserved for those who lead the little ones astray&#8217;? <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Should you program behaviors through indoctrination or trauma?
