It contains the DNA from both.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Prior to cell division, a process called <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mitosis\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">mitosis<\/span><\/a> takes place, in which cells create 2 copies of their <a href=\"?p=152\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">DNA<\/span><\/a>. One is called RNA.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Cell growth, development, and replacement occur through cell division.
