No Whiplash is the result of a Surrender response to a sudden accident.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Imagine the feeling of helplessness during an automobile accident or rollercoaster ride. Faced with an inescapable or overwhelming <strong>shock<\/strong> and threat, humans and animals both use the inaction, <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">freeze, <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">or helplessness response. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Both stress and anxiety related response input from various sensors in the body is sent to our &#8216;<a href=\"?p=509\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">Reptilian<\/span><\/a>&#8216; and &#8216;<a href=\"?p=510\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">Limbic<\/span><\/a>&#8216; part of our brains. They are primitive, instinctual parts of our brains, that are not under our conscious control.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">This input is then sent over the neural network to the right &#8216;Frontal Cortex&#8217;.
