It is your understanding of a given situation, person, or object. It is the meaning you assign to any given stimulus: &quot;inward&quot;.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Perspective is your point of view. It&rsquo;s the lens you see the world through and determines how you view yourself, others, and everything else around you: &quot;outward&quot;.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">So what comes first your perspective (point of view) or your perception (what things mean)? <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">The perception of our reality controls our perspective. Our perspectives come from our perceptions and our perceptions are created from our beliefs.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Beliefs are created through continously repeating something you learn\/see\/do, or from a dramatic emotional impact.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Besides using the <a href=\"?p=233\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">timeless tools and practices<\/span><\/a> to improve your current state of being, why not change the perception about your life and yourself, if you want to feel and think different about your current life experiences?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Keep adopting other perspectives until you see the <a href=\"?p=204\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">obstacle<\/span><\/a> disappear and have a satisfactory feeling about something or someone, without changing or ignoring all the relevant facts. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Wouldn&rsquo;t that make <a href=\"?p=221\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">a lot of sense<\/span><\/a>?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Not until I carefully studied certain facts and rules, and as a result flipped certain beliefs about myself and my world <a href=\"?p=210\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">upside down<\/span><\/a>, did I get a satisfactory feeling about it. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">It also allows me to live every day in <a href=\"?p=262\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">awe-filled appreciation<\/span><\/a> for what was <a href=\"?p=736\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">scripted<\/span><\/a> for this day and how that fits in with everything else in my life. Our own preferences, assumptions, and <a href=\"?p=809\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">biases<\/span><\/a> obscure a clear view and we see a mirror showing us a <a href=\"?p=741\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">distorted image<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Philosophies both East and West consider this confusion or false perception to be one of the root causes of suffering.
