The pituitary body is often referred to as the ‘master gland’, because it controls other hormone glands including the thyroid<\/span><\/a> and adrenals (which produce hormones essential for life) and the ovaries and testicles (for sex and reproduction).

This gland is the centre for discrimination, between what is good and bad for the body.
