It consists of a <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">grid of paintings. Each of the 25 paintings show different compositions, forms, pallets and a wide range of marks. <br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">While working on the 25 paintings, she never thought about making them fit together. Yet, the pieces hang together beautifully, as if each was painted with the others in mind. <br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Spong painted most of the panels before she experienced a profound cancer scare; though in hindsight she suspects the work anticipated the scare. Spong said:<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">&quot;When you are dealing with problems, every time you go to the doctor, you think you&#8217;re fine, that you&#8217;re not scared and upset. Then you get the results, and even when they are positive, you realize that you&#8217;ve been scared to death. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">In hindsight, I think the painting is full of scary creatures.
