This has to do with our upbringing, our collective experiences, and our subconscious behavioral biases. <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Inherent biases cause us to make judgments based on invalid or incomplete information. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Until we take a deep look into why we see the world the way we do, we&#8217;ll never have the capacity for real change. Those who are ready to change can use <a href=\"?p=309\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">one of our practices<\/span><\/a>.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Scientific research shows that many<\/span><\/span> unconscious biases ring through in our judgments and decisions. Bringing them to light will clear our thinking; making our world seem more real. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/userfiles\/image\/2013%20pics\/ostrich-effect.jpg\" width=\"222\" height=\"166\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">Some are effects of information-processing rules that the brain uses to produce decisions or judgments. These are called <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cognitive_bias\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">cognitive biases<\/span><\/a>, and often result from wishful thinking. Some biases include a variety of cognitive (&quot;cold&quot;) and motivational (&quot;hot&quot;) explanations.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">When getting to know others, people often ask questions which seem biased towards confirming their assumptions about the other. Is this bias a useful social skill, or is there a better way to <a href=\"?p=262\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">establish a connection<\/span><\/a> with <a href=\"?p=465\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">someone else<\/span><\/a>?<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_cognitive_biases\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">Click here<\/span><\/a> for an extensive list of common biases, many of which are beliefs that were <a href=\"?p=370\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">adopted in a state of pain<\/span><\/a>.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">One method to handle these biases is the Avatar dis-creation and re-creation procedure:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><strong>Identify yourself with the subject, or bias, or conviction\/belief, and feel how it feels:&nbsp;its shape, weight, and possible interactions with its surroundings.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><strong>Define it and expand to its outer edges\/borders (like a sphere) with the unknown in all directions.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><strong>Label it without judgment, and regain the attention attached to that creation: let the creation be what it really is.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><strong>Disassociate yourself from the creation by recognizing: This is not Me, this is my creation.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><strong>Dis-create the creation. Stop the flow of energy. Flip the switch.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><strong>Create a Primary by feeling what reality you like to experience. Chose something exciting. Say it out loud in the present tense.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><strong>Handle all secondaries one by one by going each time thru the above steps, until you either experience your chosen reality or see a clear way to eventually experience that reality.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">If you have a problem with a very persistent bias try this:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\">Persistent Mass Handling Procedure:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><strong>Identify a persistent reality that you rather not carry around. Ask yourself: What bothers me, what do I want to work on now?<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><strong>Feel the resistance towards that creation (pain, feeling, desire).<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><strong>Expand your attention towards the source of that resistance. All kinds of feelings and things could happen. Feel them all but stay focused on the expansion. Do not get side-tracked.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><strong>Continue until you arrive at the source of that resistance (the core-creation).<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 255);\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\"><strong>Now, fully experience this source, by expanding and exploring this creation.
