Inter-dependent ?

Amongst most animals, size and strength determine priority of access to resources. In human beings, higher rank in the social hierarchy results almost exclusively from gestures of support received in the past, and thus social learning.

The struggle of humans against adverse environmental conditions led to the need to help one another. Friendships, our romantic, professional, and other relationships act as mutual assistance systems that complement each other.

We live in a world of interdependence. Anything we receive by way of information, or products/services, can help us. Bonds are established that we cement through affection.

Thus, social relations are sophisticated tools where we apply our superior mental abilities to satisfy our needs. Many individuals seek their help and well-being from the same people and things as we do.
