Who is Dominant?
We thus see how aggressive competition gives rise to dominance hierarchies that then define as social classes. However, in today’s complex societies, we can be “dominant" in some areas and “subordinate” in others. Power varies with the associations and alliances that we may form.
Studies have shown that rank in the dominance hierarchy is often transmitted through:
- family-support mechanisms,
- alliances with higher-ranking individuals.
Family dynasties and business mergers are manifestations of these same mechanisms. We rarely take on physical combat, because of various alliances, our hierarchies became highly stable. Unfortunately, they also perpetuate social inequalities over generations. This phenomenon is far more complex in human societies than in others.
Hi Power/Lo Status leads to abusive behavior of certain personas in certain cultures. Best remedy is that Hi Power/Hi Status people tell Hi Power/Lo Status people "how important their roles are” so that they gain status. Thus, a continuing appreciation of others is of vital importance.
Even today, our political systems are still influenced by these very old mechanisms for centralizing power, still controlled by a very small number of dominant individuals, the so called ‘Corporate titans acting as sovereign bullies’.
As information is becoming a more important source of power than physical resources, the influence of mass media and public relations firms have become dominant.
The Demolition of Dominance
President Vladimir Putin spoke at a meeting with Russian ambassadors and permanent representatives abroad on June 30, 2016:
"The situation across the world is becoming less predictable. The actions of NATO are aimed at upsetting the balance of power, but Russia will not succumb to this militaristic craze.
We are noticing persistent efforts by certain partners to maintain a monopoly on geopolitical dominance, using their centuries of experience in suppressing, weakening, pitting rivals against each other, as well as modern political, economic, financial, and informational methods.
The examples of such methods are interference in the domestic politics of other countries, provoking regional conflicts and triggering so-called ‘color revolutions’.
At times, terrorists, fundamentalists, far-right nationalists and even neo-fascists are used as henchmen in achieving those goals. We can see the direct consequences of such disastrous policies near our borders.
I am confident that only dialogue and cooperation can help avoid uncontrolled development of the situation, thus it is necessary to push for a fair world order based on the principles of united and inseparable security and collective responsibility. We stand for equal partnership that respects the interests of both sides."
Western Decadence?
The 3 main reasons why many Westerners are angry for having lost their sense of Identity:
- White men’s sense of supremacy, based on a form of christian religion that has been corrupted since 325 AD.
- Moslem migrants unwilling to integrate, and
- EU-neoliberalist and US-neoconservative Elites’ ideas & actions.
The EU structure is viewed by many as an alienated machine run by an unelected elite, exercising a totalitarian control over its subject people.
End of Era of Western Preaching?
Whoever controls the dominant narratives about the world controls the world itself. Power is controlling what happens; absolute power is controlling what people think about what happens.
Eastern Wisdom?
The 5 Constant Virtues within Confucianism are benevolence, sincerity, righteousness, propriety, and knowledge, rather than the western virtues of vindication, parasitic instead of mutualistic, win or lose, etc.
China/Russia seek solutions “towards an innovative, invigorated, interconnected and inclusive world, with the One belt-One road as the key infrastructure, open-source sharing philosophy for hard/software production, and government growth funds as catalysts/shareholders".
