2D & 3D Attention
Our Spotlite Diffuser can be set to 4 extreme positions:
- 2D Object-Attention: energetic and fast paced, leading to mid or high β(beta) frequency waves in the left-brain hemisphere. It means limited visual, auditory, and cognitive stimuli, and no physical sensations, emotions, and other sense modalities. It leads to 2 Dimensional (2D) Objectification of a figure. There is a hard focus and no fluidity. When overused or chronic, it leads to anxiety, panic, worry, rigidity, profound paralysis, and the consumption of lots of energy.
- 3D Object-Attention: an intensified experience, like being absorbed in a task with a sense of timelessness. Sports like fly-fishing, or golf, when you focus on the ball, as well as its 3D surroundings, you can forget yourself in it. It is a soft focus and a physiological release from 2D Object-Attention.
- 2D Spatial-Attention: you remain separate from the experience, because you use honed skills in a back-of-mind, auto-pilot way, like riding a bike.
- 3D Spatial-Attention: This is the best antidote to 2D Object-Attention of a tense and time-strapped life. It diffuses the scope and will move your Attention into the natural flow of life, which embraces feelings of joy, formlessness and timelessness.
2D Object- and 2D Spatial-Attention precipitate a removal from one’s immediate experiences. They function as survival- or emergency-modes of living. They transmit a perception of life, they do not enable an actual experience of it.
3D Object- and 3D Spatial-Attention precipitate an immersion into the immediate experience. They enable you to live in the Here-and-Now, and to experience the Joy of being alive.
