Attention Drifting?
Is the Economy of our Attention,
the Economy of Bits and Pieces ?
For many centennia, the focus of our Attention has been on stuff: pieces of substance, based on atomic matter. Can you now imagine a world without any memory chips, computers, cell phones, and Internet?
Today\’s focus of Attention is on non-substantial, sub-atomic matter, such as digital bits, quantum particles of energy + information, that has led to all of today\’s technologies.
Are our own bits of Attention then becoming the key commodities? We know we always have plenty of Attention-energy particles available when we are awake. However, our waking hours are limited and our days are "numbered". So,
Q: How do we optimize our continuing supply of attention-energy particles ?
A: By minimizing our drifting & stuck attention-energy bits !!!

IBM researchers announced that they have reduced the number of magnetized atoms required to create a bit of data from about 1 Million to only 12, using a scanning tunneling microscope and an atomically precise anti-ferro-magnet, where atoms spin in opposite directions.
This allowed them to create a magnet memory that is at least 100 times denser than today\’s hard disk drives and solid-state memory chips, where iron atoms are lined up with the same magnetic polarization, requiring greater distance between them.
